Is thicker than the crust

Stuck in a stance

Moves me to make matters worse than they seem
Unconditionally careless
I’m filled to the top
With all that recedes me
Like the light from our bodies bending
Around the curves of irony
And virtual insanity
A two-step silhouette
Staring contest between
The stars and your eyes
They’ve already started
Something we’ll really rely on this time
Something so seductively appealing
Layer by layer come undone
Till I’m nothing but the news
Between the comics and the horoscopes
I find a reason to believe
That this isn’t happening again.
